A New Resolute Report Animated Update!

Manuel Animated Gif
Check out this cool Manuel Animated Gif image. This was produced from our original art. This is the first piece of AI assisted art we have used. We’re thinking of maybe AI assisted animations for advertising. What do you think?

Wow! It’s been awhile! The last update was in… GULP… July! Sorry for the long overdue post. To say the least we’ve been BUSY!

Since the completion of the first issue of Adventures of Men & Angels #1, where in we thought we might take a break, we’ve been working harder than ever. Don’t let anyone tell you different, setting up the finished issue for printing and promotion is time consuming! It’s also complicated. Personally I’m amazed at just how much has changed since 2008, the last time I did this publishing thing. There is a lot more opportunities and avenues to promote a comic book even in the midst of an ever shrinking traditional comic book market. Let me give you the highlights.

First off, websites: We had ’em back in 2008 but not like now. Promoting, searching, building and anything related has all changed. AI assisted sites and management is a lot of it but not all. There use to be only 3 or 4 domain choices like .com, .net, .org and the like. Now, we have a lot to choose from, just about anything you want.  We secured .art. You can still type in resolutecomics.com but you will end up on resolutecomics.art.

First editions: Yes, Adventures of Men & Angels #1 started out as just one edition but now there is five. There is the regular comics edition from Ka-Blam Digital Printing which will be available any day now on IndyPlanet as a POD (Print On Demand) 32 page, plus inside and outside covers, regular comic book or a downloadable PDF version. Then we have the Kindle edition with Guided View. And to go along with that is the Amazon Premium Paperback Edition after we get the numbers on the Kindle Edition up where Amazon likes it, which has some extra art content for a total of 44 pages. Last but not least, well… actually it is least, is what I call the Kid Size Edition. This is a 5.5 x 8.5 issue often referred to as Digest or Ashcan size. I never liked those names so I coined the Kid Size Edition. Like the POD edition it is 32 pages with 4 inside and outside covers. This is the least expensive edition while still sporting glossy covers and high quality paper for the interior. If I could find some newsprint for the pages I would do a Traditional Edition just for ol’ times sake. We may also be doing something with Drivethru Comics too, but that’s just a wish list item for now.

We have a lot of Merch! Stickers, buttons, caps, t-shirts, hoodies and more than I can remember at the moment and more planned.

There are a lot more promotion avenues to explore as well, like Social Media.  Argh! Talk about a bear! There use to be like only two! Now, there are… well… a lot! More than I can recall at present!  I’ll be cluing you in on all that soon. By the time you see this post lots more will have happened if the trend continues.
